Playing with Madmoizel on all dates:
Jan Doyle Band – DEF’s in house band in effect and the only UK band on the line up, the leading purveyors of INSURRECTIONARY NEO FUTURISM – where electronics, punk, goth and glam all meet in a stunning spectacular energetic live performance. Utterly indescribable and totally unmissable.
Other acts playing:
Sheffield (Royal Standard, £5 on the door) 6th March:
Flavolous – who played our Tramlines event last year has always impressed us with his almost indefinable mix of experimental dubstep glitch industrial rap. It sounds bizarre and it is but the delightful off kilter rhythms and break in such move the body in exciting and unusual ways. A wonderful innovator.
Leeds (Santiago Bar, £5 on the door) 7th March:
Leifert – Anyone who saw our Manchester show last year with Madmoizel or our two december dates (leeds/london) would have experienced the cool coldwave tribal synth that is Leifert. Again excitingly pushing the boundaries with unique compositions and huge style on stage. Everyone who has seen them has been hugely impressed so we’re delighted to have them with us again.
13X – Transgender musician, poet, artist and photographer. Creates loud noizes, glitchez, nonsense and beats. Sounds exciting? Of course it is! We were really impressed with their wonderful music at a gig in Leeds some time ago organised by Goth city and have been looking for an opportunity to have them back.
London (£5 advance £10 door):
Dame Area – If you like the idea of a Spanish Coil, Franco Battiato, Gary Numan, Throbbing Gristle, Joy Division, Suicide, Can or Grauzone with female vocals then you are utterly in luck as this is exactly what you’ll be getting. Yet again a powerful slightly disturbing female presence fronts this band with a slightly more punky tinge to their electronics.
Blackwaxsolution is our DJ for the night famed and in demand for skilled turntable work throughout London and not without significant online notability. Returning to his origins with a bit of post punk/goth/industrial/new wave/electronica dj work here. This is a DJ you won’t forget.
Show starts at 8pm and DJing continues to 3am.
Bristol (£7.00 advance £10 door):
Caffeine Kill – Heavy industrial machine rock, powerfully performed. Caffeine Kill have made a stir up and down the country with their oftne brutal sound. A mixture of Ministry, Skinny Puppy and Nine Inch Nails the sound is harsh but never forgets to include a sense of humanity and melody.
https://www.facebook.com/sombremoonband/ – Dark synthpop. Beautiful female vocals combine with intricately composed synthy sounds. Utterly danceable and absurdly catchy without being sugar sweet.
