We’re back at the Vintage Rock Bar this time on St George Gate. We’ll give you some directions etc a bit further down after we’ve told you about the bands in case you don’t know them.

So here we’ll talk about the bands involved.

VILE ELECTRODES

We’ve waxed lyrical before about the Viles, we feel they’re something truly special. And we really hope that you agree. The sophistication and maturity shown in their work is second to none, along with their mastery of so many many synths in the live setting. Few bands dare to take half as many analogue synths out live. Here’s some useful videos for you to appreciate their wonderfulness:

FACTORY ACTS

Hailing from Salford, this duo produce complexly layered electronic music with haunting female vocals and make use of both vintage and cutting edge technology. A delightful sound, wonderfully appropriate for winter.

JAN DOYLE BAND

Doncaster’s own dark duo of synthing, purveyors of bleak minimalist soundscapes. Much like the viles there’s a fair display of vintage equipment to accompany the energetic live performance. Let’s let the music speak for itself shall we?
