Futher expanding our base of operations, this time we bring our special brand of darkness to Nottingham which just so happens to be home to two rather special bands indeed.

We present to you, in associaiton with The Velvet Sheep:

Luxury Stranger

Nano seconds away from releasing their third album Luxury Stranger continue to represent the very best in the post punk sound. Simon York, the auteur behind the whole enterprise presents you with quite possibly the finest voice in the whole movement and with songs to match. He posseses an expressive songwriting capability that easily equals any great artist you would care to mention from the history rock, creating many an atmosphere in which to lose yourself.

As a front man Simon exudes a confidence that creates a unique connection with each audience and makes every single performance a fresh experience.

In this performance you can expect to hear a fair few previews of the eagerly awaited third album and you’ll easily understand
why Luxury Stranger have gained a strong reputation and loyal following.

In Isolation

Capturing the essence of new wave, distilling and refining it into a polished modern form, In Isolation present a wonderfully open textured sound.

Combining influences from the likes of the Cure with a slightly rockier edge from such as The Editors, every song is a memorable experience.

This year saw the release of their debut album which has received high praise from the likes of BBC Introducing, the Mercury Music prize and Roman Storyboard.

Jan Doyle Band

From South Yorkshire making their debut appearance, Jan Doyle Band have gained a reputation for flamboyant and exciting live shows.

Spectacularly coiffeured hair and intricate make up abounds in an edgy adrenaline fueled live show that is ever unpredictable and just a little bit frightening.

Combining many elements of the post punk scene from minimalwave, goth, synthpop and industrial they’re a tricky one to pin down in sound but are unique experience you will never forget.
